Second Day On The Runway

Taking The Second Step As A Model

Welcome back my beautifuls for todays blog post! Today we will be discussing how our second day of shooting for our project went.

As I mentioned in my first blog on shooting our project we mostly had all the parts we needed. However, we decided to refilm one or two scenes as we felt like the acting was not the best and that Gigi's emotions did not come across the screen as we wanted it to.

So when we actually started to do our filming we had 3 of us group members present since sadly one of us could not make

it. But since we didn't have to do any big work for our reshooting we managed with just the three of us just fine. When we got together we did some more brainstorming to see if we wanted to ad any additionally scenes to our project. This was an important factor to think about since if we include a new scene we had to make sure it adds a lot to the character since we would probably have to cut another scene out to make sure we do not go over the time
limit. So after thinking about this, we decided to refilm a
few shots, but most importantly we decided to add an extreme-close up of Gigi crying, after her dad calls that she cannot make it for her birthday, this scene added to the character as we convey her emotions to come off as really strong and important to the watcher. I am glad we decided to add this scene as I feel like before Gigi just not seemed emotional enough as we wanted to but by adding this screen it adds a lot more to the emotions that she is going through.

Additionally, this was the time we managed to do the foley stage for our video as during the first day of shooting we

had some background noises we could not include so we decided to add the sound afterwards, so during our second day we just finished up doing our foley stage. However, while we were doing this, we realized once we came to a scene were the birthday sash was rummaging a bit as I take it off, that we did not have that sash anymore so we weren't sure how to imitate this sound for the scene, but after some thinking we ended up using a two satin bonnets that when rubbed together its sound fitted the scene really well.

Well that is it for today my fellow fashionistas, I hope to see you guys back in my next blog so stay tuned! Bye!
