First Day On The Runway

First Steps As A Model

Welcome back my beautifuls for todays blog post! I am excited to announce that we officially started shooting our movie opening, so today I will be sharing how our first day of shooting our project went. I have to say we sure have much fun with it even though we might have ran into one or two obstacles but overall I can call it a success. But let me stop yapping and let us get to it!

We arrived at noon at my house to start our shooting to make sure we had a good natural light for the shots, and to have

plenty of time to shoot our sense. We used our phone to shoot the scenes and Thu had bought a tripod so we could make our shots more steady and avoid a shaking effect.  We made sure to always shoot near windows since we didn't want to use artificial light to avoid a yellowish lighting so we tries only using natural light that cam through the window. I think this was a great choice as it makes the movie feel more natural and it also gives a colder tone of the scenes which highlights the sadder parts of the movie opening. By using windows for a natural lighting we could create some different lighting scenes, high-key and low-key lighting, based on the angles we used.

So in the beginning it was more of figuring out how we wanted to approach this, of course for the scenes we went in

chronological order and using the story board to stay on track, but of course as we started to film more ideas of shots and angles came up that we though would fit the movie better. Even though we didn't really wanted to go off the story line we had in the story board there were still one or two tweaks we had made to implement some new scenes. So we definitely had a lot of retakes of specific shots to really get the desired composition and mood we wanted to create. As for myself I also made our group retake a few shoots as my acting just didn't seem the best in some cases and I really had to get used to it in the beginning, but towards the end it became and felt more and more natural, which sped up the process a bit. Moreover, we had a few discussions on the type of props used as even though we had an idea what kind of props to use we wanted to make sure we choose the most fitting varieties, for example we had multiple birthday sash and we decided to use the pink one as it seem to match the best with Gigi's character. For our sound we decided to make a foley stage and add the sound d afterwards, that is because there were noises in the background that would have been too disturbing but it was out of our control to cancel it out at the time, so we plan on  going through a foley stage to create the sound for our project. After we had finished filming we were okay with the results but we are planning to reshoot some scenes as we didn't completely felt satisfied by it.

Well that is it for today my fellow fashionistas I hope to see you guys back for the next one! I hope you guys are excited how the final results as much as I am. And be sure to comment your thoughts, you know i always love seeing them! so stay hyped and see you guys next time. Bye!
